Terms of Service
Effective and last updated: August 30, 2026
Operator: Openlin (early-stage project)
Contact: support@openlin.ai
These Terms govern use of the Openlin website, waitlist, iOS app, and related services that are made available to you. Openlin is currently an early-stage project. The operating legal entity, registered address, and any governing-law notice will be added before paid services are offered.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 and legally able to agree to these Terms. Where account features are available, you may be able to sign in with Apple or Google. Keep credentials secure, provide accurate information, do not impersonate others, and do not create accounts to evade limits.
2. Service and AI limitations
Openlin provides career exploration, learning, résumé, and AI-assisted coaching tools. Generated information may be incomplete or wrong and is not legal, tax, financial, medical, or professional career advice. We do not guarantee interviews, employment, compensation, promotion, or any particular outcome. You remain responsible for decisions and for checking important information.
3. Subscriptions, billing, cancellation, and refunds
The App may offer Free and an auto-renewing Pro monthly plan. A paid product is not available unless it appears in the App Store purchase sheet. The localized price, billing period, trial terms (if any), and included features shown there before purchase control over website examples.
- Digital subscriptions in the iOS app are sold and billed by Apple through in-app purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. Subscriptions renew unless you cancel through Apple before renewal takes effect. Any trial-specific cancellation deadline shown by Apple controls.
- Manage or cancel through iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Access normally continues until the paid period ends.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are reviewed and processed by Apple. Submit a request through reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple typically provides a status update within 24 to 48 hours. If approved, the time for funds to return depends on the payment method and financial institution. Openlin cannot approve, delay, accelerate, or guarantee an Apple refund. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights.
- A failed, refunded, revoked, or expired transaction may remove Pro access after any Apple billing-retry or grace period.
Credits and digital features available in the iOS app are delivered through Apple-approved in-app purchase. They have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may expire or reset as described before purchase, subject to applicable consumer law.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Openlin a limited, worldwide license to host, process, reproduce, and transform it only as needed to provide the feature you request, maintain and secure the service, troubleshoot problems, and support you. This license does not transfer ownership of your content. You must have the right to submit résumés, job descriptions, images, URLs, and other material, and must not infringe privacy, copyright, or other rights.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the service unlawfully; access another person’s data; disrupt security; automate abusive requests; extract system prompts or non-public models; scrape or replicate the service; upload malware; evade usage or payment limits; or resell the service without permission. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access to protect users or the service or for a material breach.
6. Openlin intellectual property and third parties
Openlin’s app, brand, interface, code, and original content are protected by applicable law. Third-party links, job listings, courses, and services remain controlled by their providers. Sponsored or affiliate relationships will be identified where required. Copyright concerns may be sent to support@openlin.ai with the work, location, contact details, and good-faith basis.
7. Availability and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We may change or discontinue features and do not promise uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Openlin is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
8. Termination and deletion
You may stop using the service at any time. Where an account is available, you may initiate account deletion in the App or use the account-deletion instructions on the website. Where an Apple subscription is available, cancelling it is a separate process completed through Apple. Sections that by nature should survive—such as ownership, lawful record retention, disclaimers, and dispute terms—continue after termination.
9. Questions and disputes
If you have a question or concern about Openlin, please contact support@openlin.ai so we can try to resolve it. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies available to you under applicable law.
10. Changes and contact
Material changes will be announced through the App, this page, or email where appropriate. Where applicable law requires consent to a material change, we will request it before the change applies to you. Otherwise, continued use after the effective date means acceptance where permitted by law. Questions may be sent to support@openlin.ai. These Terms will be updated to identify the operating legal entity after one is incorporated.
